Eliseo Fernando Soriano (born April 4, 1947), a controversial Filipino evangelist, is presiding minister of the Philippines-based Members Church of God International. He is known as Bro. Eli in the Congregation he leads, and through his radio and television programs Ang Dating Daan (The Old Path), Ask Soriano, Bible Guide and Truth in Focus. Soriano is known for criticizing various other religious groups for doctrines and practices he considers to be against biblical truths. - SOURCE
Soriano Perverts The Gospel
The following information is from Soriano's church website. My comments will appear in bold white type...
The Bible teaches only one church that each of us must join, for us to be saved by Jesus Christ. In fact, the Church in the Bible will become "God" instrument in making the Gentiles heirs to the promise of eternal life.
...Our Lord Jesus Christ will bring two kinds of salvation, through the Bible. At the time He assumed human form, He saved Israel from its sinfulness. That is written in Matthew 1:21, which says - "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."
However, when He comes again, for the second time, He will bring salvation to the faithful. And, the Bible is teaching us how we can become one among those people that our Lord Jesus Christ will save come judgment day. The first verse that we have to pay attention to is Ephesians 3:6, which says - "That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the Gospel."
Again, this is a lie of the Devil. There are NOT "two kinds of salvation." Jesus plainly stated in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me." Soriano is a false prophet! Soriano teaches that Jesus came 2,000 years ago only to save Israel; but the faithful today will be saved at The Second Coming. Soriano tells lies! There is only one plan of salvation, and that is by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8,9). Soriano teaches a works-based salvation, where a person must be "faithful" to his religious organization to be saved. Sadly, he is brainwashing many thousands of people, and leading them into Hellfire!
...According to St. Paul, for the Gentiles to be a part of the salvation that comes from our Lord Jesus Christ, they have to be made parts first of the body; and only after that will they become partakers of a promise in Christ by the Gospel.
Eli Soriano is a heretic, who teaches that faith alone in Jesus Christ is insufficient to save. Soriano teaches the heresy that a lost sinner must FIRST join the church before he or she can receive Christ as Savior. The Word of God teaches the exact opposite. Scripturally, the very moment you trust Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you become a member of the Church, i.e. the Body of Christ. Soriano is a quack.
Soriano Denies the Deity of Jesus Christ!

Blasphemy! The Word of God is abundantly clear that the Godhead became incarnate in the earthly body of the Lord Jesus Christ. We read in Colossians 2:9, "For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." Soriano corrupts the Scriptures through his woeful ignorance. We also read in John 10:33, "The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, MAKEST THYSELF GOD." Who would dare say that Jesus didn't profess to be Almighty God. In Revelation 1:8 Jesus even claims to be GOD ALMIGHTY, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY." Oh, listen my friend, Jesus accepted worship as only God is entitled to (Matthew 8:2; Isaiah 42:8). Jesus forgave sin as only God is able to do (Mark 2:5-7; Luke 5:21).
Jesus performed miracles, like healing amputees, which no man has ever done, "If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father" (John 15:24). These frauds today like Benny Hinn and Pat Robertson cannot heal anyone; yet they make tens-of-millions of dollars by exploiting people's hopes of being healed from their illnesses and disabilities.
Likewise, Soriano is exploiting Christianity, twisting the Scriptures into lies, to make money and benefit himself. Eliseo F. Soriano and The Church of God International are a Satanic cult! DANGER!

Soriano is known to spit in front of public audiences, whether during worship services or in front of his TV audience.

The first thing upon entering the place (where he was interviewed by Mike Enriquez) was to spit his saliva or maybe phlegm right at the shinning floor tiles as shown in the Imbestigador video.
When asked by Mike about his demeanor, his silly explanation was:

Born from a poor family, he would go on to become one of the riches minister in the Philippines. Personally owning a church which he founded, and at the same time establishing all kinds of businesses using church funds primarily as capital, and church/member properties as business loan collateral...

Soriano's Unbiblical Teachings
Eliseo Soriano is a false prophet who teaches Satanic lies...
1. Soriano rejects the Trinity doctrine (i.e., the Godhead) and believes the following:Christian pastors and leaders who are concerned about the spiritual welfare of the Filipinos must be vigilant to expose this cult, so that they can address the spiritual hunger of a growing population. It is our responsibility as genuine born-again Christians to WARN Filipinos about false teachers like Soriano, Apollo C. Quiboloy and "Brother Eddie" C. Villanueva, who come as wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15). These men pervert the Word of God and deceive Filipinos.
Father - Almighty God and over-all Savior. Greater than the Son and the Spirit.2. Soriano believes the Father, who is the Living God, was the overall Savior who must be given credit for all the things He has done by sending saviors during the times past (Hebrews 1:1-2).
Son - Mighty God but not the Almighty God like His Father. He is equal to the Father as God but not greater than the Father because He was sent. Greater than the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit - part of the Father and the Son and also called God but not a Person. Aside from believing these “three Gods,” he also insists that there exist “many gods” because of 1 Cor. 8:5.
3. Soriano believes Jesus is a "Mighty God" but not the Almighty God. Soriano does not believe that Jesus is the only Savior of humanity. Soriano teaches two kinds of salvation that Jesus will do: (1) He was sent primarily to be the savior of the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24) during his humanity (Matthew 1:21), but he is just one among the sent ones to be the savior. (2) On his Second Coming, he will save the faithful (i.e., members of Soriano’s group). Soriano teaches that Moses was also sent by the Father to become an instrument of salvation and savior to the Israelites (Acts 7:35-37), and the Apostle Paul (Acts 13:46-47) was a savior to the Gentiles up to the ends of the earth. According to Soriano, Timothy was to be the next savior after the apostle Paul’s death.
4. According to Soriano, Jesus the Son of the Living God also needs a savior who is his Father, the Living God as allegedly stated in Hebrews 5:7-9.
5. According to Soriano, the meaning of the “house of God” in Psalms 127:1 during the Old Testament is “Church of God” (Iglesia ng Dios), and the name of that church is: Iglesia ng Dios kay Kristo Hesus, Haligi at Saligan ng Katotohanan (Church of God in Christ Jesus The pillar and the ground of the truth Philippines). They do believe that a person may be saved even though he has not heard of Soriano’s teachings. He is judged by God according to his conscience. Soriano believes not everybody can preach the Bible but must therefore be a “sent one” (who is none other than the founder, himself).
Authority
Although ADD members claim to believe the Bible as their only source of authority, this is half-true. They also believe Eliseo Soriano is the “sent one” or “sugo” the reason why he alone does the Bible explaining. In other words, an individual member could not just explain the Bible out of his own personal study. This can be observed by watching his TV program, “Ang Dating Daan,” and “Itanong Mo Kay Soriano” a bible exposé program wherein he is always the main speaker concerning Bible interpretations. I have also talked to many ADD regulars (i.e. manggagawa) and tried to ask them some Bible questions but they declined and directed me instead to their founder.
Bizarre and Unscriptural Teachings...
- Eli Soriano teaches that God doesn't know everything.
- God doesn't know the Day of Judgment; but Soriano knows and predicts that the world will not last by 2010...
"Eh 'yung iba ang pangarap pa eh mapaka...magtatayo pa sila ng isang project na matatapos sa twenty ten (2010) ha! Sa two thousand ten 'dun daw matatapos, malaking project. Sabi ko, kayo nalang di' na ako sasali riyan, hehehe!. Hindi naman ako naniniwalang aabot pa tayo ng ganoong katagal na matagal na matagal eh."
- Teaches God of not present everywhere (i.e., omniscient).
- Teaches God of not capable of doing everything (i.e., omnipotent).
- Teaches that God is not alone in being God.
- Eli Soriano introduces himself as a god.
- Christ as the Saviour of men was not an original plan of the Father; but rather, a voluntary gesture or self-will of the Son after a supposed “caucus in heaven took place involving the three, i.e., God the Father, Son, and the Holy spirit.
- Teaches Christ of being sinful at one time.
- Teaches the Apostles of being prone to error when teaching the Gospel; yet Soriano claims he can answer any question.
- Believes there is only one Apostle with the name of James, instead of two as described in the Bible... compare
- Ladies are not created in the image of God but only men... compare
- Ladies will not enter Heaven unless she becomes a man, and a man a god.
- Personal insults, badmouthing and any other form of human degradation to fellow men is freely practiced and encourages at anytime, even during their worship service, just as long as it is what they personally think of that person, young or old alike... compare
- At one point he forbade his members to marry (see 1st Timothy 4:1-3).
- Practices speaking to the dead as well as spoke with God... compare
Soriano Approves of Homosexuality!

The Bible condemns the sin of homosexuality (Romans 1:24-32). Homosexuality is morally reprehensible and disgusting!

- Don Manolo Favis - One time when they were at odds, admitted of having noticed such homosexual behavior of Mr. Soriano
- Lolita Hizon - Testified that one time he caught Soriano with another man performing lascivious act.
- ADD members behind the Komiks-their write ups contains so many lurid details that you canot deny they know a lot behind the scene including the one at Fortune Hotel.
- ADD breakaway group-another group who notices such behavior from Mr. Soriano.
- Mr. Eliseo Soriano - the Joint account in Metrobank worth millions with another man Uly which He himself confirmed and admitted that there is nothing wrong with it

"Here, it is evident that, the organization, which is known today as the Jehovah's Witnesses, used six different names. And that only proves their lack of definite direction and firm disposition."
And this had also been done by different religions here in the country. I once read of a particular organization, which was registered as "Simbahan ng Maykapal? (Church of the Almighty). After several years, they decided to change it to "Iglesia ng Dios? However, their petition was denied inasmuch as there were already many organizations bearing the name "Iglesia ng Dios?
You know what they did? They changed it to English. They changed it to "Church of God? and their petition was granted. These are some illustrations, my fellowmen, of proofs that, their choice of a name, which will serve as the official name of their organization, was only prompted by different motives."
Conclusion
Eli Soriano is an imposter. Just as the Catholic Church (which Soriano criticizes) is straight out of the pits of Hell, so is Mr. Soriano's cult. Just as the Jehovah's Witnesses, Soriano denies that Jesus is Almighty God. Instead, he teaches that Jesus is only a god. Soriano denies the Savior, teaching that only members of his religious group will be saved at the Second Coming. Soriano denies the Godhead. Tragically, I have read many words of praise towards Mr. Soriano from online forums, i.e., from deceived victims.
Eli Soriano is leading multitudes of people into Hellfire and damnation with himself. The Philippine people in particular are falling victim to demonic deception, because they are sweet people and trusting of others who are kind and nice. This is their downfall. Sadly, the average Filipino / Filipina is woefully ignorant of the Bible, God's Word.
I recently conversed with a Filipina woman who spoke high praises of Benny Hinn, a damnable false prophet who speaks LIES. Woe unto the naive, for the Devil wants to kill, steal and destroy your family. Romans 3:4 plainly warns... "Let God be true, but every man a liar..." I explained to the woman that Benny Hinn was an imposter and a liar. Benny Hinn is also a Catholic. She sincerely said, "Whatever the Bible says, that's what I believe." Since she is Catholic, and said she believed the Bible, I gave her a book to read titled Understanding Roman Catholicism by Rick Jones, who uses the Bible to expose the damnable lies of the Catholic religion. So many today, especially the Philippine people, have been deceived by the lies of Catholicism, and other heretics like Benny Hinn and Eli Soriano. The problem is that people "say" they believe the Bible; but then don't study the Bible at all. The average person doesn't know anything about the Bible, except what they've been taught by MAN. You need to read the Word of God for yourself. Listen to what Jesus said in John 5:19... SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES! Have you searched the Scriptures? No, you just like Eli Soriano, and believe what he says, because he seems like a nice person and mentions the name of Jesus. Woe unto the ignorant!
