"...our Lord is above all gods" refers to the world's false gods—including the demons that have been worshipped as gods throughout history. There is a demon behind every idol worshipped, "But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils." We have seen a recent explosion of interest in pagan gods, as a kind of novelty. Paganism is being promoted in society as a cultural event. People have adopted all sorts of pagan trinkets, necklaces, charms, statues, and wall-hangings that they believe give them some type of blessing or protection. This is idolatry!

society is dabbling in demonism--Angel boards (Ouija boards), tarot cards,
horoscopes, psychics, ghost-hunting, astrology, magicians, meditation, yoga,
hypnotism, astral projection, holistic therapy, séances, necromancy
(communicating the the dead), witchcraft, clairvoyance, etc.
Don't be fooled--all such practices invoke the power of darkness. Substance abuse also often plays a role in these demonic practices. Such godless practices bring the judgment of God upon a nation. Seeking spiritual power or guidance from any source other than God alone is witchcraft. 1st Samuel 15:23 declares witchcraft to be a sin. The only legitimate spiritual power, guidance, or help, is obtained in Jesus' name (John 14:26,15:16). Jesus is Almighty God (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1,14; John 10:33, Colossians 2:9; 1st Timothy 3:16; Revelation 1:8).
There's been a recent flood of demonically inspired TV shows and movies, such as Sabrina the Witch, Harry Potter, Witches, Charmed, Ghost Hunters, Crossing Over, Touched By An Angel, Desperate Housewives, Wife Swap, Nip Tuck, etc. America is slipping fast into the abyss of sin--a complete moral meltdown. When a nation's highest courts are considering the legalization of homosexual marriages—you know a nation is doomed. Across the board, America is being destroyed (i.e., morally, economically, educationally, politically, legislatively, nationally, environmentally, etc).
We are experiencing a Psychic Explosion in America. This is NO coincidence. The Devil is working relentlessly to deceive the masses into worshipping him as God. Satan will eventually achieve this goal, because people don't love the truth of God's Word (2nd Thessalonians 2:9-10).
The world's false gods include the Virgin Mary, Buddha, Maitreya (New Age), Baphomet (Freemasonry's "Great Architect"), the light (New Age), humanism (man), Confucius, nature, animals, astronomy, etc. In fact, I'm sure you can find a religion where people worship just about anything other than the Lord. To place anyone or anything equal with God is idolatry!
In particular, the Virgin Mary is the most damnable and widely worshipped false god. Over one billion people are professed Catholics. As seen in the photo above, Catholics bow in worship to a pagan idol of Our Lady of Fatima. Catholics are completely brainwashed, sincerely believing that they are NOT worshipping Mary. A picture is worth a thousand words.
The truth is that they ARE indeed worshipping Mary, and are guilty of idolatry. God commands us in the 2nd Commandment not to even bow to an image (Exodus 20:4-5). Catholics go as far as to differentiate between an image and a "graven" image.
Such nonsense goes totally contrary to the Word of God. God proclaims in Isaiah 42:8, "I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another..." If God will NOT give His glory to another, do you really think God would approve of people worshipping Mary, or an image of Mary? Of course not God hates when idolaters bow to Mary.
2nd Timothy 4:2-5 tell us to...
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things..."
The world cringes when it hears these truths. Its myths, false religions, and fantasies are too enticing. That's why people find all kinds of arguments to justify their sins.

I believe we are living in the end-times. Time Magazine reports, "Since Sept. 11" people "have begun asking questions about what the Bible has to say about how the world ends" (Time Magazine, July 1, 2002. p. 42). Lost sinners worldwide are searching for answers, wanting to know what the Bible has to say about the end of the world.
Tragically, they are instead finding deception and lies in everything from Wicca witchcraft to New Age... from Catholicism to the occult... from spiritism to Lordship Salvation. Lies and deceptions are everywhere!
