Many Christians are well aware of the heresy of
Lordship Salvation, but did you
know that Catholics created it? Satan knows that if he can get Protestant
churches to adopt a faith AND WORKS false view of salvation, then ecumenicals
will succeed in uniting Catholicism with Evangelical Christianity. An ecumenical
is an unbeliever who falsely claims to be a Christian, who works to unite
different religions together under one umbrella. Their purpose is to prepare the
world to receive the coming Antichrist and the religious False Prophet.
Where did the heresy of Lordship Salvation come from? Look no further than the corrupt New International Version (NIV) of the Bible. One perverted Scripture stands alone, more than any other verse in the NIV, Romans 10:9 . . .
The NIV says, “That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
The King James Bible says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
JESUS IS LORD? That's not what the King James Bible says at all.
The originators (Westcott and Hort) of the corrupt Greek manuscripts from which the NIV, the Jehovah's Witness New World Translation, and all other modern perversions of the Scriptures come, were pro-Catholics. It is more than coincidental that all modern versions of the Bible are based upon the corrupt Greek work of two Catholic infiltrators. Jude 1:4, “For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.” Westcott and Hort were unsaved heretics.
I could give you many changes which Westcott and Hort made to the Bible to cater to Catholics. One for example is found in James 5:16 where the King James Bible instructs us to confess our “faults” one to another. Westcott and Hort changed the word faults to “sins,” thus encouraging Catholics to continue going into the unbiblical confessional booth.
Every heretic that teaches Lordship Salvation quotes Romans 10:9 from the NIV, including Pat Robertson on his CBN.com website. Tragically, the once doctrinally sound Moody Bible Institute has now fallen by the wayside, also teaching Lordship Salvation (which has become a spiritual epidemic in America). It's like terminal cancer spreading throughout the body. Romans 10:9 in the NIV requires a lost sinner to make Jesus the Lord of their life to be saved. That is TOTALLY contrary to everything the King James Bible teaches. It is a false gospel message. It is sending people to Hell.
As further evidence that the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible is a Catholic infiltration of churches today, consider that the owner of the exclusive printing rights to the NIV, Rupert Murdoch, was recently made a Knight by the Pope. Starting to get the picture? The NIV was published with a much darker purpose than just to make money, it was intended to infiltrate churches around the world with the heresy of Lordship Salvation, which essentially teaches that faith AND WORKS are required for salvation.
Ray Comfort is infamous for teaching the heresy of Lordship Salvation. Mr. Comfort says FAITH ALONE in Christ is insufficient to save anyone...
If belief is all that is necessary for salvation, then the logical conclusion is that one need never repent. However, the Bible tells us that a false convert "believes" and yet is not saved (Luke 8:13); he remains a "worker of iniquity."

Ray Comfort is wrong concerning the Biblical meaning of repentance. There is a fine line between the turning from sin that genuine repentance brings; verses the turning from sin that false prophets like Ray Comfort require for people to get saved. Lordship Salvationists put the cart before the horse. A changed life is the FRUIT (result) of genuine repentance; and not a part of saving-faith. Our part in salvation is simply to BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST to forgive our sins (Acts 16:31); God does the rest. Acts 26:18, “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.”
In sharp contrast to Ray Comfort, Dr. Harry Ironside (former pastor of Moody Memorial Church, 1930-1948) correctly understood repentance to mean…
“Repentance is the recognition of my sinnership — the owning before God that I am as vile as He has declared me to be in His holy Word.”

Lordship Salvation is the teaching that a lost sinner must not only acknowledge their guilt of sin to be saved, but they must also be willing to stop living a sinful lifestyle and consecrate their life to Christ in holy living. However, surrendering one's life to Christ as part of saving-faith is an act of self-righteousness! A person doesn't give up their sinful lifestyle to get saved; they give up their sinful lifestyle because they are saved. There's a big difference!
But of course, many believers never grow in the Lord to the point where they consecrate their life to God. Salvation and discipleship are two entirely different matters. Judas was a disciple (a follower) of Jesus, but he had never been born-again (saved). Judas went to Hell. You don't get to Heaven by being a follower of Jesus Christ; you get to Heaven because you come to God as a guilty sinner and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive your sins. Salvation is receiving; not giving. Eternal life is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).
So we see from Romans 10:9 in the corrupt NIV where Lordship Salvationists get the foolish idea that God requires sinners to declare “JESUS IS LORD” to be saved. To do so in their minds means to stop living in sin, clean up one's life and commit to obeying God the rest of one's life. That's what Romans 10:9 in the NIV teaches!!! This false doctrine is rooted in self-righteousness, as is Catholicism; whereas Christianity is rooted in Christ's righteousness. Amen! The Catholic religion teaches that a person must have faith AND WORKS to get to Heaven. This is exactly what Lordship Salvation teaches as well, i.e., that faith alone in Christ is not enough. It is Satan's lie.
Churches all across the world are teaching that faith
AND WORKS are required for
salvation. That is what Lordship Salvation requires... WORKS!!!
An Unholy Alliance
Lordship Salvation is the consequential result of ecumenicals rubbing shoulders in an unholy alliance with Roman Catholics. As mentioned earlier, ecumenicals are unbelievers who falsely profess to be Christians, and work to unite the Catholic religion with genuine Biblical Christianity, which is impossible. It is called Ecumenism. Their followers are known as the Ecumenical Movement. Ecumenicalism is easily summed up as “sinful compromise.” In 2nd Corinthians 6:17 God commands believers . . . “Wherefore come out from among them, and BE YE SEPARATE, saith the Lord.”
The NIV was birthed out of ecumenical compromise. The publishers of the NIV wanted to make money, so they watered-down the holy Scriptures until all the participating religious denominations were satisfied. The end result is a worthless manuscript that removes the name above every other name, Jesus, in 38-places. Why would anyone use the NIV?
But even more sinister is that the NIV is a Trojan Horse, deceitfully sneaking the damnable heresy of Works Salvation into churches who sincerely think they're getting a better Bible. While Christians are sleeping in the Church, the enemies of the cross of Christ have invaded the world's churches with Lordship Salvation, which is NO salvation at all. It is a road to Hell. It robs Christ of His work of redemption as the Savior of the world. If a sinner's salvation is dependent upon his willingness to stop living in sin, then where does Christ's righteousness come into play?
The manmade traditions of Catholicism are diametrically opposed to the Bible. There is no agreement. As 2nd Corinthians 6:14 asks, “What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness?” Only evil people try to unite Catholicism with Biblical Christianity. One of the biggest sins of our time is that most Christians fail to expose the evil Catholic religion, which is leading over one billion people into the Lake of Fire. So hear me out... the heresy of Lordship Salvation is akin to the faith and works philosophy of the damnable Catholic religion. As Lordship Salvation becomes more and more popular, so do the same apostate churches embrace the Catholic religion.
One thing that has always baffled me is why MOST pastors today use the NIV when they are fully aware that homosexuals were on the translating committee, including the Chairman of the Old Testament committee. The only answer is that those pastors DON'T truly love the Lord Jesus Christ.
Lordship Salvation is an ecumenicalist's dream come true, taught in the NIV. Churches all across the world are teaching that faith AND WORKS are required for salvation. That is what Lordship Salvation requires... WORKS!!!
May we be diligent in these woeful times of apostasy to contend for the Biblical faith. Salvation is simple—we are SINNERS and Jesus is the precious SAVIOR.
